Gabala, July 17, AZERTAC
From AZERTAC’s “If I Were a Tourist” series: Gabala’s cable car.
Today, tourism is the most dynamic sector of the economy in the Gabala district, providing a solid foundation for small and medium-sized businesses, helping to create new jobs, and playing a key role in the development of the region’s infrastructure.
In this regard, the "Tufandağ" Winter-Summer Tourism and Recreation Complex is one of the most visited destinations in the region.
The cable cars here have become one of Gabala’s iconic symbols.
The complex currently operates 4 cable car lines and 10 ski slopes.
The complex features fully equipped restaurants, a five-star “Tufandağ” hotel for comfortable leisure, and a ski slope fitted with an artificial snowmaking system.
The complex can serve up to 3,000 visitors per day.
