Azerbaijan’s tourism potential was showcased at Creative Economy Days in St. Petersburg, which brought together representatives of government agencies, business circles, and expert communities from CIS countries. The representative office of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board in Russia also took part in the international event.

During the event, a representative of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board delivered a presentation highlighting the country’s tourism opportunities, with a particular focus on its cultural heritage, fashion and shopping tourism, and emerging creative industries.
Azerbaijan was presented as a year-round tourist destination where centuries-old traditions blend with contemporary art, architecture, fashion, and gastronomy. Participants explored Baku’s tourism potential as a regional cultural and creative hub, with particular attention to traditional crafts, including kelaghayi production and jewelry featuring Azerbaijani ornaments.
The presentation also highlighted historical and cultural attractions in Baku and the regions, leisure opportunities at the Shahdag and Tufandag mountain resorts, national cuisine, winemaking traditions, and the development of Slow Food Azerbaijan as a gastronomic destination.
