Central banks of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan exchange experience in financial technologies

A delegation from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan paid a working visit to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) to exchange experiences in financial technologies and innovation.
Vusal Khalilov, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, met with the Uzbek delegation.
The sides discussed the importance of sharing experience, promoting innovation in the financial sector and prospects for cooperation between the central banks of the two countries.
During the meeting, the Uzbek delegation was briefed on the CBA’s initiatives in financial technologies, innovation and payment systems under the Financial Sector Development Strategy for 2024–2026, as well as the relevant regulatory approaches and results achieved.
The meeting also featured an exchange of views on efforts to develop the digital financial ecosystem, promote innovative financial solutions, advance payment systems and products, improve relevant infrastructure and increase access to financial services.
The Uzbek delegation, in turn, shared Uzbekistan’s experience in developing a financial technology strategy, outlining its priorities and main areas of development.
