Cruise ship service planned to launch on Moscow–Baku route

“Cruise ship service between Moscow and Baku is expected to be launched in the near future,” Adam Hakimov, Russia’s Trade Representative in Azerbaijan, told Zvezda TV Channel.
According to him, a voyage aboard a luxury-class cruise ship will take seven days in each direction, making the round trip approximately 14 days in total.
“We plan to launch a cruise ship service on the Moscow–Baku route in the near future. One ship is already ready, while two more will be ready soon. If the project proves successful, we hope that these two ships will also make voyages to Baku,” he underlined.
The Trade Representative also noted that the project is being implemented with government support. According to him, the construction of the cruise ships is being subsidized by Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade.
