CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION CONDUCTS REGULAR SESSION
The session asserted protocols of the previous sessions conducted on 19, 24 and 30 January and on February 4, 2006.
Then, the secretary of Central Election Commission Natig Mammadov gave information concerning the approval of nominees on some constituencies in connection with the by-elections appointed on May 13, 2006 to Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic. It was adopted the resolution on approval of nominees on Binagadi, Sumgait, Zagatala and Agdam constituencies.
The vice-chairman of the Central Election Commission Svetlana Gasimova reported on changes in structure of the commission on delimitation of constituencies. Director of “Sechkiler” Information Center at Central Election Commission Igbal babayev has been appointed member of the said commission.
The Central Election Commission has adopted certain decisions on formation of structure of district election commissions in several election constituencies.
At the session, also have been considered the current questions.
At session of the Central Election Commission, participating were representatives of the International Fund on Electoral Systems (USA), mass media.
