CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION REPORTS
Secretary of the CEC, Vidady Makhmudov announced the issues of registration of Mr. Rustamkhanli Sabir Khudu oglu and Mr.Musayev Elshad Nabi oglu, approved as presidential nominees of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Secretary of CEC Ingilab Nasirov – on registration of candidatures of Mr. Hajiyev Hafiz Alamdar oglu, Mr. Kerimli Ali Amirhuseyn oglu, Mr. Sadiqov Chingiz Damir oglu and Mr. Kerimli Tahir Zahidaga oglu, approved as presidential nominees.
As a result of the fact that Mr. Rustamkhanli Sabir Khudu oglu and Mr. Hajiyev Hafiz Alamdar oglu, approved as presidential nominee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, officially applied to register their candidatures on a condition of non-return of a volunteer registration deposit, the CEC passed a resolution of registration of their candidatures for the Presidential Elections.
As documents of Mr. Kerimli Ali Amirhuseyn oglu, approved as a presidential nominee of the Republic of Azerbaijan are in full order according to the Election Code, the Commission passed a resolution on his registration.
The Commission refused Mr. Musayev Elshad Nabi oglu, Mr. Sadiqov Chingiz Damir oglu, Mr. Kerimli Tahir Zahidaga oglu in registration, because the number of supporting signatures turned to be less than envisaged by the Code.
Secretary of the CEC Ingilab Nasiorv announced on approval of Mirzabeyli Elchin Abdulrahim oglu, appointed as a member of the CEC with deliberative vote, representing the presidential nominee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Hasanguliyev Gudrat Muzafar oglu, as well as of Mamedov Elbrus Giblali oglu, representing same nominee and appointed as an observer to monitor all over the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The issue on introduction the changes to membership of district election commission of the Binagadi No 8 and Zardab-Ujar No 92 election districts was discussed at the end of the session and the related resolution was passed.
Representatives of the International Fund for Electoral Systems (IFES), Bureau of democratic institutes and human rights of OSCE, National Democratic Institute, special representatives of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Embassies of USA and Turkey, local and foreign mass media were present at the session.
