CIS PROPOSES TO CREATE ANTI-MENACE ORGAN IN THE UNITED NATIONS
‘The Commonwealth of Independent States advances establishment of a permanent organ within the United Nations to co-ordinate with regional organizations the joint combat against modern menaces’, stated CIS executive secretary Yuri Yarov. He noted, according to RIA “Novosti” that ‘when the issue of reformation of the United Nations comes up, it becomes clear that it should be relied upon regional organizations. We, at the same time, know that we will never solve the most of our problems – terrorism, drug trafficking, AIDS/ HIV propagation, illegal migration, without co-operation with the United Nations Organization”.
