CO-OP BETWEEN BUSINESSMEN OF AZERBAIJAN AND GREAT BRITAIN HAVE BRIGHT PERSPECTIVES
PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVED DELEGATION OF “GENESIS INITIATIVE” ORGANIZATION OF GREAT BRITAIN
Greeting the guests, President Ilham Aliyev said that the meetings the delegation held in Baku are very significant for bilateral economic relations.
Head of the delegation, chairman of the “Genesis Initiative” organization Lord Randall expressed gratitude to the head of Azerbaijani state, conveyed greetings and letter of the Prime Minister of Great Britain Tony Blair.
Lord Randall said that as a man with 22 years experience of policy, he is very pleased with the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain and for visiting such a beautiful country. He expressed his consent with the meetings and hospitality he was regarded.
Expressing his gratitude to Lord Randall for sincere and hearty words, President Ilham Aliyev asked to convey his greetings to the Prime Minister Tony Blair. Noting that he is pleased with the high level of relations between the two countries, head of the Azerbaijani state, in particular, stressed active participation of the British Kingdom investors in Azerbaijan’s economy. President Ilham Aliyev reminded that the British companies are the greatest investors in Azerbaijan, emphasizing that they take part in numerous fields of economy – beginning from oil to service – and as a result they have become members of Azerbaijan society. President of Azerbaijan expressed his confidence that the bilateral relations would further deepen and expand.
Lord Randall gave a high assessment to the economic reforms conducted in Azerbaijan, saying that they want to assist the Country’s economic development and opening new working places. The guest said: “Mr. President, I highly appreciate your targets to open new working places and continuation of economic reforms. I am convinced that these goals will serve welfare of Your people.
President Ilham Aliyev stated that the large-scale economic projects that will promote development of Azerbaijan economy are being realized in the country, and the foreign experience is widely applied in this field. He characterized political stability, great intellectual potential and natural resources in Azerbaijan as important aspects for prosperity of the Country’s economy. Head of the Azerbaijani state said that the country studies the world experience in oil and gas sector and apply in development of the new oil prospects. Azerbaijan immediately joined the transparency production initiatives of the Prime Minister of Great Britain Tony Blair and took part at the relevant conference in June last year in London. All these and other works carried out on the resolution of the World Summit in Johannesburg, as well the Oil Fund operating transparently in the Country will serve sustainable development of Azerbaijan’s economy, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized.
