COMBAT AGAINST SMUGGLING AMPLIFIES
As informed at the State Frontier Service, on the Astara border-check point, on the citizen of Iran Giya Grujian, following to Azerbaijan, 191 gram of narcotic substance has been revealed and withdrawn.
Within the last month on border of our country with Georgia, illegally taken 6,7 tons of diesel fuel, 379 kg of black caviar, 1670 kg of a fish, 327 liters of spirit have been detained. In connection with the said facts have been detained and handed over to law enforcement bodies 20 citizens of Azerbaijan and 14 - to Georgia.
For this period, attempts of use of territory of our Republic with a view of illegal migration also have been prevented. So, 4 citizens of Iran intending with false documents to take off from Azerbaijan in the People’s Republic of China by the Kabul-Baku flight have been detained.
By our frontier guards have been detained 25 local and foreign citizens using false and another's documents, and are handed over in corresponding bodies.
On the sea borders of our country, a number of the facts connected to infringements of the law have been revealed also. For this period, for infringement of rules on boundary waters of our Republic have been detained court of the Russian Federation "Tulen - 6" and "Gunib".
Investigation was launched into the case.
In January 14 infringers were detained on borders of the Republic.
