On October 30, the Consultative Council of political parties held a round table in press center “Halq” on the topic Choice of People: Realities and Perspectives.

Executive chairman of the Consultative Council Mamed Alizadeh, chairman of the party of democratic education Mamedhafina Musayev, chairman of the party Alliance for Azerbaijan Abultalib Samedov, Chairman of the Republican Party Subut Asadov, Chairman of the Political innovational and technologies Mubariz Ahmedoglu and others expressed their views on the topic. They pointed out that Presidential elections of October 15 were held in democratic conditions, freely, fair and transparent.

The reporters condemned disturbances on October 15 and 16 in Baku by radical wing of opposition and stated that no concessions should be made to forces behind opposition, acting against the state and continuing their destructive actions.

A statement was passed on behalf of the member-parties of the Consultative Council. The statement reads:

“Presidential elections - exclusively important events in our country’s life - are behind now. As it was stated in official resolutions of thousands of local and foreign monitors, observing the elections, they were held democratically enough and our people made a correct choice and elected Ilham Aliyev as President of Azerbaijan, a worthy successor of the political course of the esteemed Heydar Aliyev, leading our country to happy future.

The Consultative Council of political parties was confident before the elections, that our wise people will render its trust to Ilham Aliyev. It was based on results of researches, carried out in pre-election period at the initiative of the head of Yadigar Babayev’s center of analytical information and political researches functioning at the Council”.

Further, the statement reads:

“All of us, member-parties of the Consultative Council of political parties, appraise our people’s right choice as provision of optimal development of happy future of our country and state that we support this choice. Besides, we cordially congratulate Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev on his convincing victory at the elections, and state that we will be supporting him all the time in his activity, opening successful perspectives for welfare of our Azerbaijan”.
