Defense Industry Exhibition to be held in Baku
The International Defence Industry Exhibition (ADEX-2014) will be held for the first time in Azerbaijan and in the region from 11 to 13 September in Baku Expo Center.
Speaking at the press conference, the Deputy Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan Yahya Musayev said the Exhibition supported and initiated by Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan, would be attended by 200 companies from 34 countries, including 22 official delegations from 19 countries. Organizational partners of the Exhibition are “Iteca Caspian” and “Caspian Event Organizers” (CEO).
“Eight national teams from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Korea, Poland, Israel and Ukraine will launch their exposures at the exhibition. Azerbaijan, Turkey (37 companies), Poland (16 companies), Israel (16 companies) and Belarus (10 companies) are distinguished among the large compositions,” Musayev underlined.
The deputy minister also stressed that conduction of the defense industry exhibition in the country is one of the indicators of development, adding: “"Azerbaijan is the fourth country in the former Soviet Union after Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, which hosted such an exhibition.”
According to Musayev, Azerbaijan will demonstrate the products of 168 items - bombs, small arms, combat modules mounted on armored vehicles and others.
Yahya Musayev also stressed that at this event Russia will be represented by “United Aircraft Corporation” Company, “Rosoboronexport” and “Helicopters of Russia”:
