ECO-UNIDO Clean Energy Center established in Azerbaijan

“Today, at COP29, we witnessed the establishment of the ECO-UNIDO Clean Energy Center in Baku. This strategic initiative will strengthen leadership efforts in energy, promote regional cooperation, and accelerate the transition to renewable energy across ECO member states,” said Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, as he addressed the ceremony to launch the ECO-UNIDO Clean Energy Center as part of the COP29.
“Our primary goal is to promote a sustainable energy transition and attract investment in green energy in the region, as well as increase energy efficiency. We also seek to mobilize financial and technical resources for the development of projects in the field of green energy production and infrastructure,” the minister emphasized.
