EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO STRASBOURG WAS USEFUL
The key goal of trip was to directly familiarize with the mechanism of protection of the rights provided with the European Convention on human rights and, first of all, with activity of the European Court on Human Rights. During the trip, the delegation held meetings with judges and employees of Secretary of the European Court on human rights, with the officials of the Council of Europe engaged in cooperation with Azerbaijan, The delegation also took part in session of ЕСHR and of Strasbourg Court.
Sharing with the correspondent of AzerTAj the impressions about results of trip, member of delegation, chairman of Absheron district court Chingiz Bashirov has noted, that the program was very useful for delegation. Having touched the legal reforms started by our national leader Heydar Aliyev and proceeding to this day, C. Bashirov has noted that acquaintance with experience of ECHR, and also the French courts allows to assess the positive results achieved in our judicial system for last years, and to determine steps which are necessary for undertaking in the direction of perfection of the Azerbaijan justice. He has expressed gratitude to organizers of trip, including permanent mission of our country in the Council of Europe.
