A meeting on the occasion of opening Austrian Center for Culture and Information took place at the museum of Heydar Aliyev at the Azerbaijan University of Languages /AUL/, March 30.

The AUL Rector, Milli Majlis deputy, Prof. Samad Seyidov said the opening of the Center had been initiated by the embassy of Austria to Azerbaijan few years ago. The books delivered from Austria were given then to the AUL. The embassy supplied the university with equipment and literature. The center may be used by not only the teachers and students but also any person interested in Austria.

Ambassador of Austria to Azerbaijan Heidemaria Gurer told of the ties established between the two countries and stated that the Center would play an important role in their development. Minister of Foreign Affairs Vilayat Guliyev, Minster of Culture Polad Bulbul oglu, deputy Minister of Education Elmar Gasimov congratulated the meeting participants and wished every success to the center.
