EOC President: Baku is completely ready to host 15th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival

Baku is completely ready to host 15th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival and I am very glad that we are in Baku again for this event, said President of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) Janez Kocijančič.
Janez Kocijančič mentioned that the city does not only have the necessary infrastructure for hosting large-scale events, but it also combines in itself other key components such as excellent organization, enthusiasm and sincerity. He expressed his confidence that the 15th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival will be successfully organized in Azerbaijan.
The 15th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival will be held on July 21-27. About 3,900 athletes from 48 countries will join he Festival’s competitions. Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on 122 athletes. The athletes will compete in 10 sports, including gymnastics, athletics, basketball, cycling, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling.
