FINAL DOCUMENTS OF SUMMIT ADOPTED
On conclusion of the NATO Summit, conducted in the frame of the Council of Euro-Atlantic Partnership with the participation of heads of state and government of the 46 NATO member-countries and partners, were adopted four documents: re-orientation and direction of the Euro-Atlantic partnership; operational plan of partnership related to creation of defense institutions; on prevention of person trafficking; report on realization of the plan of partnership against terrorism.
The document on re-orientation of partnership envisions setting closer links with the partners in the South Caucasus and Central Asia, creation of other new mechanisms of partnership.
At the meeting at high level of NATO, also was adopted joint communiquй. It is stated that the South Caucasus and Central Asia are strategic regions. Among the partner-states that joined the “Individual Partnership Activity”, special attention is given to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan.
Another moment is that the NATO supports sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of all states in the Euro-Atlantic space.
