FINANCING OF PENSIONS AND ALLOWANCES FOR FIRST HALF 2003 COMPLETED

The key goal of the ongoing social-economic reforms conducted under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev is to strengthen the vulnerable sections of population. Thanks to care and attention of the Azerbaijani state, there were taken serious measures to timely finance the pensions and allowances of the population. As was informed at the State Fund of Social Security, financing of the pensions and allowances of the unemployed population for June 2003 was completed. Overall, during six months for these aims was transferred 757 billion manat, that exceeds the previous year by 11,5 billion manat, or, 17,4 percent. Amount of the assignment from the state budget totaled 326 billion manat. However, in the collected dues, proportion of the private sector is increasing.
