FIRST AZERBAIJANI WOMAN WRESTLER WINS SILVER
For the first time in the history of Azerbaijan women’s sport, free-style wrestler Matanat Suleymanova /55kg/ has gained silver medal at the International tournament held August 1-3 in Warsaw, Poland. Over 100 athletes from 30 countries attended the contests, AzerTAj correspondent learnt from press-service of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism. The victory of the Azerbaijani sportswoman is very important, as this kind of sport had been included in the program of the Olympic games.
