GYMNASTS FIRST GAMES IN CURRENT YEAR
Contest is the preparation to Baku Championship planned for March, AzerTAj correspondent was told at the press service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation referring to the main referee of the tournament Natalya Narimanova. “The best gymnasts will be selected for participation at Azerbaijan Championship, which will become the last start for the next World Cup to be held in Baku, late April”, she stated.
On the same day, Azerbaijan Sports Gymnastics Championship with the participation of 80 sportsmen will be held at the Republican Olympic Sports Lyceum. Aim of the championship is to select candidates for Azerbaijan team and prepare to the upcoming cycles of 2008 and 2012 years on the long-term program “Olympic hopes – talent identification” and the 18th international tournament to be held in Iran for Cup “ Fajr”.
Baku Sports Acrobatics Championship with the participation of 30 sportsmen will be held at the gymnastics school in Baku, on February 12-14. The championship is a preparatory stage to Azerbaijan Championship to be held in March.
