‘HOUSE OF HUMAN RIGHTS’ TO BE OPENED IN BAKU
Ombudsman of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Elmira Suleymanova, in her meeting with the representative of the ‘House of Human Rights’ in Norway Ms. Berith Lindemann spoke of activity of the institution she heads, on the important steps undertaken in the field of protection and realization of human rights and freedoms.The guest explained the goal of her visit, updated on the meetings with the representatives of NGOs on human rights, spoke of the regional organization ‘House of Human Rights’, uniting NGOs in Moscow, Warsaw and Sarajevo. She suggested having such a House in Baku to reach interactions between Azerbaijani NGOs on human rights, coordination of their activities.Suggestion on creation in the Country a House of Human Rights to serve the national interests was met with approval. In the course of meetings, discussed were the issue of preparation of appropriate documents and other issues.
