Representative office of the International Fund for Electoral Systems / IFES/, according to its Chief Charles Lasham, is ready to organize training for Azerbaijan citizens wishing to observe October 15 Presidential elections in the country. He stressed that in accordance with legislation requirements, each citizen of Azerbaijan entitled to vote has a right to observe the election.

Pointing out the huge role of local observers, Mr. Lasham said this issue had been discussed during his recent meeting with Chairman of the Central Electoral Committee Mazahir Panahov.

He also announced that registration of the local and international observers would commence in the near future.
