IJF postpones Olympic Games qualification due to COVID-19

The International Judo Federation has postponed qualifying tournaments for the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games until April 30 because of the coronavirus outbreak.
At it extraordinary meeting, the International Judo Federation Executive Committee unanimously voted to guaranty the safety of the whole judo family as well as the fairness of the sport. It decided to extend Olympic qualification period until June 30, 2020, while the Continental Championships planned in period until April 30, 2020 will be postponed and all Cadet and Junior events are also cancelled until April 30, 2020.
