INTERNATIONAL USHU TOURNAMENT LAUNCHED IN BAKU
Opening the ceremony, President of the European Ushu Federation Yol Falkoni thanked the organizers for good conditions, created in Baku for guests and sportsmen. Then, he added that best sportsmen from all over the world gathered in the Baku Tournament - one of the most prestigious one
Minister of Communications Nadir Ahmadov noted that Azerbaijan had turned into a sportive country, where world championships, international tournaments are being held.
Under the guidance of Ilham Aliyev, a policy aimed at developing ofsports in Azerbaijan is bearing fruits. Sport centers are being constructed throughout the country and Azerbaijani sportsmen win at world tournaments.
Reports were followed by fights in 60 and 55 kg categories.
The tournament will last until September 7.
