ISSUE LINKED WITH AZERBAIJAN NOT DISCUSSED

A regular sitting of PACE Bureau and Standing Committee was held in Naples. Issues related to approval of the fall agenda was discussed.

Azerbaijan was represented by Mr. Samad Seyidov, Chairman of Milli Majlis standing commission for international and inter-parliamentary relations.

The MP informed that the issue directly linked with Azerbaijan was not discussed.

The Bureau again approved the decision Klerfite on prisoners state in Azerbaijan on PACE session agenda. Thus, the Belgian deputy George Klerfite’s report will not be discussed at fall session of this international structure.

In spite, some Bureau members tried to discuss pre-election situation in Azerbaijan, the Bureau did not examined this issue.

Issues on organization of some deputies’ visit to Azerbaijan to study the pre-election situation, as well as arrival of the representatives of the Organization to Azerbaijan on the day of elections were discussed at the Bureau and Standing Committee session.
