ISSUES OF COOPERATION AMONG FRONTIER SERVICES DISCUSSED

A delegation of the Azerbaijan state frontier service led by the chief of SFS, lieutenant-general Elchin Guliyev participated in the capacity of observer at the 5-6 October, Almaty, session of the Council of commanders of he frontier troops of the CIS countries.

Discussed were issues of situation in the borders of the CIS countries, and problems of cooperation among the frontier services, as well as the Project “Regulations on common system of registration of the citizens of other countries and without citizenship, going out to the territory of the CIS member-states”, and a number of other issues.

In the frame of the visit, delegation of Azerbaijan held bilateral meetings with the heads of the frontier services of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and exchanged views on the mutually interesting issues.
