JUDO TOURNAMENT IN MEMORY OF HAZI ASLANOV ENDED

On September 28, the 27th traditional International Judo Tournament in memory of twice hero of the Soviet Union, General Hazi Aslanov with the participation of 170 sportsmen from 6 countries came to an end.

Organizers of the contests were National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism, Azerbaijan Judo Federation and Mayor of Baku.

Winners among men were - I. Mammadov /60kg/, S. Agayev (66kg), S. Sarkarov (73kg), E. Rajabli

(81 kg), M. Bodaveli (90 - Georgia), Z. Tagiyev (under 100 kg) and R. Abbasov (over 100 kg).

Winners among women were - P. Agadjanova (48kg), K. Magomedova (52kg - Russia), S. Ahmedova (under 63 kg), Zaira Abihasanova (70 kg-Russia), F. Shukurova (78kg), T. Mammadova (over 78kg).

Azerbaijan took the first place, while Russia was the second and Georgia the third.
