KAZAKHSTAN TO PAY $100.000 FOR GOLD OLYMPIC MEDALS SPORTSMEN

Kazakhstan will pay $ 100.000 to the sportsmen who will take gold medals at the Athens Olympic Games, Chairman for tourism and sports agency of the Country Daulet Turlikhanov reported.

Sportsmen of silver medals will receive 50.000 dollars, bronze - 30.000, fourth, fifth and sixth place – 10.000, 5.000 and 3.000 accordingly. Prize will also receive the coaches. It is the very stimulating moment, Mr. Turlikhanov said.

For today, 114 Kazakhstan sportsmen in 19 kinds of sports received licenses for the Games.

It should be reminded that before the Sydney Olympic, leadership of Azerbaijan and National Olympic Committee adopted decision to pay $100.000 to the champions. Then, Zemfira Meftahaddinova / skeet shooting/ and Namig Adullayev / free wrestling/ won the gold medals at Sydney Olympiad.

For today, Azerbaijan sportsmen won 35 licenses for Olympic games 2004.
