Kenyan officials tour “Urban Expo” as part of WUF13

On May 20, as part of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), a Kenyan delegation led by Alice Muthoni Wahome, Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, toured the pavilions of the “Urban Expo”.
The delegation was accompanied by Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and National Coordinator for WUF13.
During the exhibition, the Kenyan officials showed special interest in Azerbaijan’s pavilion, where Anar Guliyev presented its concept and exhibits. It was noted that, inspired by the architectural style of the Heydar Aliyev Center, the pavilion showcases Azerbaijan’s urban planning heritage, modern development projects, medieval cities such as Icherisheher, as well as the country’s national parks and natural resources.
