LEGAL COOPERATION BETWEEN AZERBAIJAN AND CHINA EXPANDING
Having greeted the delegation, consisting of heads of province offices of the public prosecutor and other officials, the Minister said that friendly ties and overall cooperation of both countries was successfully developing, in particular, following President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev’s visit to People’s Republic of China in 1994.
Touching upon cooperation in the legal field, Fikret Mammadov mentioned of his visit to China and fruitful meetings, signing the cooperation agreement between offices of public prosecutor of both countries in Beijing.
The Guests were updated on the positive results of legal reforms, implemented under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan.
Having expressed his gratitude for warm welcome, Mr. Tza Chunvan stressed the role of fruitful visit of the delegation of the Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan to China in establishment of cooperation between both countries in legal sphere and recounted of the activity and reforms of the office of Public Prosecutor of China.
The Discussions revolved around the situation with the Azerbaijani citizens serving a sentence in China and importance of signing an agreement on legal assistance on the civil, family, and criminal cases. The sides stressed the necessity to coordinate and sign a draft that will create opportunities to further develop reciprocal cooperation and consolidate efforts in the fight against terrorism.
