Mainoo winner sends Man United into Champions League as Arsenal extends lead

Kobbie Mainoo scored a 77th-minute winner as Manchester United beat Liverpool 3-2 in a chaotic encounter to secure a place in next season's Champions League, Xinhua reported.
Mainoo showed sharp technique to reach a loose ball and side-foot home after Liverpool had fought back from 2-0 down to level at 2-2 at Old Trafford.
United took the lead in the sixth minute when Matheus Cunha pounced on a loose ball following a corner, his effort taking a heavy deflection into the net. Benjamin Sesko doubled the advantage after 14 minutes when the ball rebounded off his chest and into the goal.
Liverpool responded early in the second half, with Dominik Szoboszlai scoring two minutes after the restart following a run from halfway. Cody Gakpo equalized in the 56th minute after a costly error from goalkeeper Senne Lammens while attempting to play out from the back.
Both sides had chances in a frantic final half hour before Mainoo settled the contest.
Tottenham climbed out of the bottom three with a 2-0 win away to Aston Villa, pushing West Ham into the relegation zone.
Conor Gallagher and Richarlison scored in the 12th and 25th minutes as Tottenham capitalized on Villa's fatigue following its Europa League semifinal first leg on Thursday.
Bournemouth moved up to sixth with a 3-0 home win over Crystal Palace, showing little disruption following coach Andoni Iraola's announced departure at the end of the season.
