March 31 - Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis marked in Tashkent
Tashkent, March 30 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Uzbekistan has organized an event to commemorate March 31 - Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis.
The event brought together members of the Azerbaijani community and journalists.
The participants saw a documentary on the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan.
Opening the event chargé d`affaires in Uzbekistan Akif Aliyev spoke of Armenian aggressive policy against Azerbaijan.
The chargé d`affaires highlighted the contributions of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to making the Armenian crimes against Azerbaijanis known to the world community. He stressed the importance of the Decree “On the genocide of Azerbaijanis” signed by national leader Heydar Aliyev on March 26, 1998.
Second Secretary of the Embassy Sabuhi Ahmadov delivered reports called “March 31 1998” and “Falsification of history.”
The participants also saw a documentary on destruction of historical and cultural monuments by Armenians in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
