MASS MEDIA MINI-FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT UNDERWAY
The tournament organized by “Sharg” newspaper and sponsored by the CCIC brought together AzerTAj, TV companies “AzTV”, “ATV”, “Space”, newspapers “Sharg”, “Azerbaijan”, “525-ci gazet”, “Football +”, “Olaylar”, “Adalat”, “168 saat”, “Seher-JFK”, “Champion-Zaman”, “Super Market”, newspaper distributor “Sema” and CCIC itself.
AzerTAj competing in the group “D” had to clash with CCIC on April 25 but this team was recognized as a defeated side because of not coming to the match. On the same day “168 saat” beat “Seher-JFK”. “D” group leaders AzerTAj and 168 saat clashed on April 26. Despite two opening goals from AzerTAj forward Ramil Huseynov and Fuad Jafarov 168 saat side could equalize the score in the second half. As “Seher-JFK” thrashed CCIC 8:1, AzerTAj and 168 saat top the group with 4 points.
Here are the results of other matches: 525-ci gazet - ATV 2:2, “Sharg” - “Sema FRP” 3:0, “Space” - “Champion Zaman” 2:3, AzTV - “Super Market” 4:3.
Final matches in all groups are due in April 28, 30 and May 2.
