MEETING IN FOREIGN MINISTRY
According to the Ministry’ press-service, Villayat Guliyev noted he pays a special attention to co-operation between the Ministry and International entities, including the Institute represented by Vladimir Sokor. At the guest’s request, the Minister updated him on the socio-political situation in Azerbaijan, implementation of democratic reforms and work being done in the field of building up the legal society together with the international organizations. Then, he told about Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Garabakh conflict, problems of its resolution, and related activity of the OSCE Minsk Group, plight of some million Azerbaijanis displaced from their native lands, and stressed the necessity to boost efforts of international community towards peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Vladimir Sokor noted the significant role of reforms, being implemented in Azerbaijan after gaining independence in raising country’s international prestige and expressed hope for upcoming Presidential elections to be held democratic environment.
The parties as well exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
