4 February. First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev made a speech at the plenary session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan.
29 February. He made a speech at the unveiling ceremony of Imadaddin Nasimi monument in Baku.
25 March. He attended the ceremony marking the 80th birth anniversary of People’s writer Suleyman Rahimov.
15 May. He presented awards to Azerbaijani cultural figures.
21-24 May. He delivered a speech at the meeting of party-economic activists during his visit to Nakhchivan ASSR.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
