13 February. First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev made a speech at the meeting of the Republican party-economic activists.
1 April. He met with party-economic activists of Aghdam district.
5 April. He attended the 5th Congress of Azerbaijani Cinematographers.
8 April. He delivered a speech at the meeting of Republican agronomists.
10 April. He made a speech at the meeting of party-economic activists of the city of Sumgayit.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
