3 April. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev held meetings with Vice-President of U.S. Exxon oil company Tim Cejka and delegation of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO).
He held an official meeting on the issues of army building.
7 April. He met with employees of the clinical maternity hospital No 5 in Baku on the occasion of the World Health Day.
8 April. He delivered a speech at the meeting with the winners of international contests at Music Academy after Uzeyir Hajibayov.
12 April. He made a speech at the ceremony of signing a treaty on cooperation in the field of oil between Azerbaijan and Turkey. He met with Turkish businessmen.
14 April. He held an official meeting on the progress of agrarian reforms carried out in the Republic and the situation emerged in the agricultural sphere.
16 April. He gave an interview to U.S. journalists.
He attended the creative evening of People’s Poet Mammad Araz.
17-18 April. He visited Brussels to hold talks with the heads of European Union. As part of the visit, he met with Azerbaijani compatriots living in Belgium and other European countries.
19 April. He delivered a speech at the ceremony of signing of the documents to transfer a part of Azerbaijan’s share at Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) international consortium to U.S. Exxon oil company.
23 April. He attended the literary and art evening held at Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators.
25 April. He made a speech at the solemn event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of birth of renowned Turkish scientist İhsan Dogramacı held at Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater.
28 April. He attended a scientific session dedicated to the memory of academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
