2 April. President Heydar Aliyev met with refugees from Kalbajar settled in a hostel in Narimanov district on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the occupation of Kalbajar district by Armenian armed forces.
5 April. He received the members of the management team of Khazar International Oil Company.
7 April. He made a speech at the funeral ceremony of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Scientist, State Prize Laureate Tamerlan Aziz oglu Aliyev.
15 April. He made a speech at the presentation ceremony of the work "Elegy" dedicated to the memory of outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva by People's artist Omar Eldarov.
16 April. He held a meeting dedicated to the progress of economic reforms in Azerbaijan, as well as the discussion of current agricultural works.
He congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
24 April. He met with the participants of the International Conference held in Baku on "Investment opportunities in Azerbaijan".
25 April. He congratulated the Orthodox Christians of the republic on the occasion of Easter.
28 April. He paid a visit to Turkey to attend the business conference of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization member states.
29 April. He delivered a speech at a meeting with Mstislav Rostropovich, his wife Galina Vishnevskaya and other members of his family at the Presidential Palace.
30 April. He attended the solemn ceremony organized in honor of maestro M. Rostropovich at the Baku Music Academy.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
