April 1. President Heydar Aliyev met with a delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
April 2. He received the delegation of Kars province of Turkey.
April 8. He made a speech at the ceremony on the occasion of Eid al-Adha held at the shrine of Mirmovsum Agha.
April 10. He met with a delegation led by Robert Livingston, Chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the US Congress.
April 12. He watched the performance of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade's play "The sword cutting ourselves" at the National Drama Theater.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
