7 April. President Heydar Aliyev met with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev who embarked on a visit to Azerbaijan.
8 April. He made a speech at the VI Summit of heads of state of Turkic states in Baku.
9 April. He delivered a speech at the solemn event dedicated to the 1300th anniversary of “Kitabi-Dada Gorgud” epic.
He, together with Turkish President Suleyman Demirel attended the opening ceremony of the monument to the Turkish soldiers.

28 April. He delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of recreation park named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
He familiarized himself with the recreation park built in the second micro-district of Nasimi district in Baku.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
