1 August. President Heydar Aliyev held an official meeting with participation of heads of law-enforcement authorities of the Republic over the detection of explosives under the bridge in Sabunchu district.
4 August. He met with representatives of law-enforcement authorities on strengthening the fight against terrorist acts.
He made a speech at the official meeting on the detention of those who committed grave crimes in Lankaran district and failed terrorist attack in Baku on July 30.
8-9 August. He visited Almaty to attend the event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of renowned Kazakh thinker Abay Kunanbayev.
14 August. He held an official meeting with heads of law-enforcement authorities.
16 August. He delivered a speech at the expanded meeting of the commission tasked with preparing the draft new Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
18 August. He met with religious people in Tazapir Mosque.
23 August. He received a group of Azerbaijanis living in Moscow.
25 August. He made a speech at the official meeting on progress of agricultural works and implementation of agrarian reforms.
26 August. He met with board of New Azerbaijan Party.
27-29 August. He visited Kyrgyzstan to attend the meeting of the leaders of Turkic states dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of “Manas” epic.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
