12 August. President Heydar Aliyev gave an interview to special correspondents of the “Literaturnaya Gazeta” newspaper.
15 August. He met with the veterans of the Republic of Turkey in Baku.
18 August. He attended an informal meeting of the Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Yalta.
22 August. He received participants of the motocross held within the “Baku-Ceyhan Oil Odyssey” project.
23 August. He met with the delegation led by Minister of State of Turkey Abdulhaluk Mehmet Çay at the Presidential Palace.
25 August. He delivered a speech at the farewell ceremony of Azerbaijani athletes competing at the XXVII Summer Olympics.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
