4 June. President Heydar Aliyev attended the solemn opening ceremony of the 9th “Caspian Oil, Gas, Oil Refining and Petrochemistry” international exhibition and conference.
He received Italian Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Production Mario Valducci and a delegation led by State Secretary of Petroleum and Energy of the Kingdom of Norway Brit Skjelbred.
5 June. He received the delegations of the United Kingdom, Turkey and the “Samsung Electronics” Company.
6 June. He received a delegation led by U.S. Advisor for Caspian Basin Energy Diplomacy, Ambassador Steven Mann.
8-9 June. He paid a visit to Saint Petersburg at the invitation of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
13 June. He attended the event marking the 70th anniversary of the Azerbaijan’s State University of Economics.
14 June. He received the Mayor of the city of London.
15-19 June. He visited Nakhchivan. During a visit, he held meetings in a military unit of the Nakhchivan branch of the Military Lyceum after Jamshid Nakhchivansky, attended the opening ceremony of the Nakhchivan Olympic Complex, met with the residents of Nakhchivan, delivered a speech at the meeting of the governmental institutions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the solemn opening ceremony of the Bahruz Kangarli Museum.
24-28 June. He embarked on a working visit to Turkey on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
