2 March. President Heydar Aliyev attended the ceremony of presentation of vaccines brought to Azerbaijan at the initiative of prominent musician Mstislav Rostropovich.
3-3 March. He presented the Order of Independence to Mstislav Rostropovich and made a speech at the official reception organized in honor of his 75th birthday.
6 March. He met with the leadership of the Ministry of National Security and the leaders of the Border Troops of the republic.
7 March. He participated in the solemn ceremony dedicated to the International Women's Day.
14 March. He received the members of the "Azerrail" women's volleyball club, the winner of the European "Top-team" cup competitions.
16 March. He delivered a speech at the event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and the United States of America at the residence of the US ambassador in Azerbaijan.
19 March. He joined the Novruz festivities organized in the Republic Palace for children brought up in orphanages in Baku, as well as children from refugee, orphan and martyr families.
21 March. He joined the nationwide festivities on the occasion of Novruz holiday.
22 March. He delivered a speech at the ceremony dedicated to the presentation of the "Friend of Journalists" award established by the Committee for the Protection of "Ruh" Journalists.
26 March. He met with the US delegation.
31 March. He visited the Alley of Martyrs.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
