12 March. President Heydar Aliyev returned from the U.S. to Azerbaijan. He gave an interview to the journalists at the airport.
13 March. He paid a one-day visit to London.
17 March. He chaired an expanded meeting of Azerbaijan’s Security Council.
19 March. He congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of the Novruz Holiday.
20 March. He attended the nationwide Novruz Holiday festivities.
24 March. He attended the opening ceremony of the Chief Baku Procathedral - in Baku.
He received Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CBTO) Wolfgang Hoffmann.
29 March. He familiarized himself with the reconstruction process in the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall named after Muslum Magomayev.
31 March. He addressed the nation on the occasion of the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis.
He visited the Alley of Martyrs.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
