2 May. President Heydar Aliyev has made a speech at the opening ceremony of the “Festival of the Festivals” event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of World Cinematography.
5 May. He presented the “Golden star” medals to Azerbaijan National Heroes and family members of martyred Azerbaijan National Heroes.
8 May. He made a speech at the official reception organized in honor of the foreign delegations arrived in Baku to attend the ceremony dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Azerbaijani President.
9 May. He delivered a speech at the solemn event dedicated to the 53rd anniversary of Victory over fascism.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
