1 October. President Heydar Aliyev delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of new office of Russia’s Lukoil Company in Baku.
3 October. He attended the official reception dedicated to the anniversary of unification of Germany.
7 October. He met with President of U.S. Motorola company Greg Thompson and the delegation members.
8 October. He met with participants of the third edition of “Sharg-Garb (East-West)” Baku film festival.
9 October. He received U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Stanley Escudero.
10-15 October. He visited Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
16 October. He received a delegation led by Minister of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
18 October. He met with Turkish President Suleyman Demirel who arrived in Azerbaijan for working visit.
26 October. He received a delegation led by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbott.
27 October. He met with President of Poland Aleksander Kwaśniewski who paid a visit to Azerbaijan.
31 October. He paid working visit to Turkey.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
