2 September - President Heydar Aliyev attended the opening of secondary school No73 in Narimanov district, Baku.
7 September - He met with members of the general public of Fuzuli, Jabrayil and Gubadli districts.
10 September - He made a speech at the 90th anniversary ceremony of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev.
11 September - He delivered a speech at the extraordinary session of the Milli Majlis (Parliament).
12 September - He met with the delegation of the German "Daimler-Bent" concern. He attended the opening of "Improshop" shopping center in Baku.
16 September - He met with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who was on a visit to Baku. Together with the Kazakh President, he visited the Alley of Martyrs, and also talked with a group of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
18 September - He attended the commemorative event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the composer Muslum Magomayev.
20 September - He received the President of the Islamic Development Bank.
21 September - He held a meeting on the implementation of the law on “Land Reform".

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
