1 September. President Heydar Aliyev delivered a speech at the event held at the school N 82 of Baku’s Narimanov district on the occasion of the beginning of the academic year.
He made a speech at the official reception held on the occasion of the National Day of Uzbekistan.
4 September. He embarked on a working visit to the U.S. to attend the Millennium Summit.
6 September. He attended the opening ceremony of the Millennium Summit at the UN headquarters.

He delivered a speech at the international conference themed “Azerbaijan is a gateway to Eurasia, a country of strategic and economic alliances” organized by US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce.

On 29 September, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to declare 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the country. 10 May 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and an outstanding politician and statesman.
