MONOGRAPH “AZERBAIJAN: GLOBALIZATION CHALLENGES” PUBLISHED IN TURKEY
This fundamental monograph that came out from many-sided research drew attention of those outside of Azerbaijan Republic. Turkish version of the well-designed monograph issued by the Turkish publishing house “Da” was prepared by center of translation of Caucasus University.
The book, which consists of preface and six chapters, gives an in-depth analysis of modern socio-economic and politic developments in Azerbaijan.
The author weighs up new realities of the globalizing world, analyses the influence of westernization and modernization in Azerbaijani society.
At the beginning of third millennium, the globalization turned into the new, priority direction of worldwide thought and progress. Azerbaijan as a new independent state, which is experiencing a transition period, can’t stand aside from this process and being aware of the feature of worldwide integration processes, it chose the strategic course of integration into the world community.
As a result of his long-term scientific researches and observations, professor Ramiz Mehdiyev raise some importance questions with an aim to answer them. The author completely achieved his targeted goal and, therefore, specialists regarded the monograph as important contribution into the Azerbaijani science.
