“Nakhchivan-2016” international chess festival kicks off

“Nakhchivan-2016” international chess festival commemorating national leader Heydar Aliyev’s 93rd anniversary has started.
Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic`s Supreme Assembly Vasif Talibov announced the festival open.
Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov praised the government’s attention to development of sport, including chess.
The festival brings together over 350 chess players, including world and European champions, as well as international grandmasters and FIDE masters.
